      • The campaign invites citizens across the country and globally to plant a sapling as a tribute to their mothers and to nurture it as part of community-driven environmental conservation.
      • To support this initiative, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has set a nationwide target of planting 140 crore (1.4 billion) trees across degraded lands, community forests, and urban parks by March 2027.
      • A dedicated portal and mobile app have been launched to allow individuals to upload geotagged photos of their planted saplings.
