      • Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the platform integrates satellite telemetry and GIS mapping to track forest cover improvements, plantation survival rates, and carbon sequestration targets.
      • The portal helps track India’s progress under its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) target of creating an additional carbon sink of 2.5 to 3 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2030.

    • What: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully conducted a hot test of the modified CE-20 Cryogenic Engine at the ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu.
    • Details:
      • The CE-20 engine has been upgraded to deliver a higher thrust capability of up to 22 tonnes, compared to its previous nominal thrust of 19 tonnes.
      • The modification will increase the payload carrying capacity of the LVM3 (Launch Vehicle Mark-3) launch vehicle by approximately 150 kg to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO).
      • This upgraded cryogenic engine is a key milestone for the upcoming Gaganyaan human spaceflight missions and heavy-satellite launches.
